Small and medium-sized enterprises often face legal challenges that are costly, complex, and difficult to navigate, especially during periods of economic uncertainty. This paper examines how justice systems can better support SMEs by reducing barriers to legal services and improving access to timely, affordable dispute resolution. It highlights people- and business-centred approaches that strengthen trust, resilience, and fair competition. The report also explores how digital tools and alternative dispute resolution can help businesses resolve conflicts more effectively.
