Realigning United States Core Childhood Vaccine Recommendations With Best Practices From Peer, Developed Countries

Executive Order 14407 directs the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to review and update the U.S. childhood and adolescent vaccine schedule using scientific evidence and recommendations from peer developed nations. The order emphasizes evidence-based policymaking, parental flexibility in vaccine timing and sequencing, continued vaccine access and insurance coverage, and protection of parental authority and religious freedom. It also encourages states to consider the accompanying scientific assessment when evaluating vaccination policies.
