The HS-POWER program connects undergraduate and graduate students with hands-on research opportunities supporting homeland security missions. Sponsored by DHS Science and Technology’s Office of University Programs, the program offers paid, in-person summer appointments across a wide range of disciplines. Students work alongside federal experts on real-world challenges, from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to border security and emergency management. The experience is designed to build technical skills while exposing students to careers in national security research.
