Executive Order 14379 establishes the White House Great American Recovery Initiative to strengthen the Federal response to addiction and substance use disorder. Co-chaired by HHS leadership and senior advisors, the Initiative aims to improve coordination across agencies, align treatment and recovery programs, expand prevention and early intervention, and increase public awareness. The Order directs integration of addiction services across healthcare, criminal justice, housing, workforce, and education systems while promoting evidence-based treatment, data-driven accountability, and partnerships with states, tribal nations, faith communities, and the private sector
