World Economic Forum: Net-Zero Industry Tracker – 2022 Edition

The industrial sector consumes over 40% of world energy and emits more than 30% of global greenhouse gas emissions. These sectors’ change is critical to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. This World Economic Forum paper, co-authored with Accenture and supported by expert input from over 40 organizations, proposes a new framework to monitor and encourage heavy industry progress toward net zero emissions.
