Threat Landscape – Security Risks in Production Agentic AI Systems

Agentic AI represents the most significant expansion of the enterprise attack surface in the current decade. Its architectural properties including autonomous action, dynamic tool use, persistent memory, and multi-agent coordination, create threat vectors that existing security frameworks were not designed to address, and its rapid deployment across enterprise, academic, research, and federal environments is outpacing the security community’s ability to develop and deploy adequate countermeasures.
