Strategic Talent Management in the U.S. Federal Government: U.S. Army Materiel Command Job Satisfaction Explained by Variance in Employee Perceptions of Talent Management Strategy

This research employed an explanatory multiple correlation design to empirically evaluate whether there is a statistically significant relationship between indicators of talent management and job satisfaction in the U.S. federal government by measuring the U.S. Army Materiel Command employees’ job satisfaction variance as explained by the variance of 1. perception of how well one’s own talents are used in the workplace, 2. perception of supervisor support for employee development, 3. satisfaction with opportunities to get a better job in the organization, and 4. the combination of all independent variables.
