High-quality early childhood education shapes lifelong outcomes, strengthening children’s cognitive, social, and emotional foundations while reducing inequalities that emerge as early as age five. The report highlights how early learning environments, family engagement, and a well-supported workforce all contribute to long-term educational and societal well-being. It also shows that vulnerable and multilingual children benefit significantly when systems provide inclusive, culturally responsive, and well-coordinated early learning opportunities. Ultimately, investing early creates more equitable futures for children and more resilient societies.
