Immersive Technologies

Immersive technologies integrate the physical environment with digital content to support user engagement. While some initial applications of immersive technologies have been for video games or entertainment, there are emerging commercial and governmental uses, including for education and training, health care, and design and construction.

As the use of immersive technologies continues to expand, the Congress and organizations have highlighted the importance of understanding in a comprehensive way how these technologies are used by federal agencies.
