ICE Faces Challenges in Its Efforts to Assist Human Trafficking Victims

As part of its homeland security mission, DHS is responsible for investigating human trafficking crimes, arresting traffickers, and protecting victims, as well as enforcing victim protection laws to combat human trafficking. The OIG conducted this audit to determine the extent to which ICE identifies and tracks human trafficking crimes to assist victims.
