For most organizations, background checks are an essential process — the timelier, the better. With its extensive hiring needs, a Virginia-based government contractor was certainly no exception.
Prior to its relationship with Paycom, the company’s two-person HR team encountered many of the frustrations that result from relying on multiple incompatible systems. In fact, the employee screening process serves as a great example, since the background checks themselves were handled on a different system than drug screenings.
In any case, getting current and prospective employees through those necessary background checks and drug screenings meant sending them email invitations, each of which required HR to manually enter their information. Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, those emails were often lost, expiring after 48 hours.
