While the United States invented robotics, it is now an also-ran—at least in production—with the leading robotics companies located in engineering powerhouses of Germany, Japan, and Switzerland.
However, by volume, both of production and use, China leads the world. And as with so many technologies, China has significant cost advantages. But can Chinese robotics firms innovate and reach the same level of quality as that of the world leaders? This report assesses this question.
