General/Flag Officer Reductions

The Department of Defense is directing a significant reduction in general and flag officer positions to streamline leadership and enhance military effectiveness. This includes a minimum 20% cut in 4-star positions in the Active Component, a 20% reduction in National Guard general officers, and an additional 10% reduction aligned with Unified Command Plan realignments.
