State, local, tribal, and territorial governments increasingly rely on the internet to deliver essential services to the public—making them vulnerable to various cybersecurity risks.
Federal funding could be used to help these governments improve their cybersecurity through 27 grant programs managed by eight federal agencies. None of them are specifically intended to fund cybersecurity, but they can be used that way.
