Facial recognition is a normal part of everyday life and continues to advance into our personal lives, work environments, and public transportation. This publication discusses how such systems can fail, what errors occurred during the gallery creation of this study, the photo capture process at boarding, attack detection, and face matching. Other items included in the study are: how errors might be estimated, citing relevant standards, and the consequences if errors remain unaddressed. With facial recognition being a part of everyday life, this is a relevant read for many.
