Executive Order 14399: Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections

Executive Order 14399 strengthens federal election integrity by introducing new measures to verify voter citizenship and secure mail-in voting systems. It directs DHS and SSA to compile and share citizenship data with states, enabling more accurate voter eligibility verification. The order also requires USPS to implement standardized ballot tracking through unique identifiers and tighter controls on absentee and mail-in voting. The Department of Justice is tasked with prioritizing enforcement actions against election fraud and noncompliance. Together, these actions aim to increase transparency, reduce fraud risks, and reinforce public confidence in federal election processes.
