Executive Order 14291: Establishment of the Religious Liberty Commission

The President has established the Religious Liberty Commission to reinforce and expand protections for religious freedom across the United States. This initiative responds to growing concerns about policies that may infringe on conscience rights and religious expression in schools, healthcare, and public life. The Commission will deliver a comprehensive report by July 4, 2026, the 250th anniversary of American independence, addressing current threats, legal protections, and public awareness efforts. It also includes advisory boards of religious leaders, laypersons, and legal experts to ensure diverse input.
