Establishing the Task Force To Eliminate Fraud

Executive Order 14395 establishes the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud within the Executive Office of the President to strengthen oversight of federal benefit programs and combat fraud, waste, and abuse. Chaired by the Vice President, the task force coordinates agencies responsible for housing, healthcare, education, agriculture, veterans’ services, and other federal assistance programs to improve eligibility verification, strengthen fraud detection, increase information sharing, and implement stronger anti-fraud controls. The order directs agencies to identify vulnerabilities, adopt measurable fraud prevention standards, improve audits and compliance monitoring, and recommend actions that protect taxpayer-funded benefits while ensuring assistance reaches eligible recipients.
