Understanding how different industries are linked to environmental and social impacts is becoming increasingly important for policymakers, businesses, and regulators. This OECD report examines where evidence and expert perspectives align—or diverge—on which sectors are most associated with issues such as human rights, labor conditions, and environmental harm. Drawing on existing research and an international expert survey, the analysis highlights both patterns and gaps in sector-level impact data. The findings help frame more informed, risk-based approaches to responsible business conduct across industries.
