Direct Air Capture Explained

Direct air capture (DAC) is an innovative technology designed to directly pull CO2 from the atmosphere, offering a solution to mitigate climate change. It has the potential to create well-paying manufacturing jobs across the U.S. and play a key role in reducing hard-to-address emissions, such as those from aviation. Unlike carbon capture technologies, which focus on stationary sources like power plants, DAC removes CO2 directly from the ambient air, providing flexibility in plant locations. Thanks to recent investments, breakthroughs in DAC could accelerate, creating lasting environmental and economic benefits for communities.
