China Military Power Report

The Department of Defense released its annual report on the ‘Military and Security Developments Involving the People’s Republic of China (PRC)’ to Congress, referred to as the China Military Power Report.

This report illustrates how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has frequently turned to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in support of its global ambitions and provides an assessment of PLA capabilities that underscores why the PRC represents the Department’s pacing challenge.
