The COVID-19 pandemic reshaped our world, impacting nearly one billion people and taking over seven million lives. This experience has revealed the urgent need to bolster global health security (GHS), strengthening our ability to respond to health crises on a global scale. With U.S. Government strategies aligned across departments, the focus now is on fostering international partnerships and building resilient health systems. By enhancing these efforts, we can better prepare for future pandemics, protect national security, and promote health equity worldwide.
