Nearly half of America’s clean energy comes from nuclear power, making it a key player in the fight against climate change. With 93 reactors across 28 states, nuclear power plants are some of the most reliable energy sources, operating 92% of the time. And despite misconceptions, the amount of used nuclear fuel is surprisingly small, fitting within a football field at less than 10 yards deep.
