Bridging the Digital Divide: Broadband Workforce Considerations for the 118th Congress

There is a possibility that there will be workforce challenges associated with the broadband deployment projects that are being funded under existing legislation. The 118th Congress may give some thought to the issue of determining the current and future workforce requirements for broadband.

This report summarizes selected broadband workforce legislation enacted by the 117th Congress, describes the broadband workforce and potential challenges, including varying stakeholder perspectives on the sufficiency of the existing workforce, and provides additional considerations for Congress to take into account.
